Meet Chrisauna (Chrissy) Shoaf, a passionate creative who found her love for creating through quilting. Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, Chrissy did not have the opportunity to step foot into a quilt shop until the age of 23. However, once she took her first quilting class, she was hooked, and there was no turning back to any creative love that didn't include fabric.

In 2020, Chrissy launched her online fabric shop, House of Threads, which carries unique fabrics and stabilizers to create amazing bags and more. Additionally, Chrisauna has also pursued her passion for longarming, which started in 2016 after completing her first quilt on the machine.

Chrisauna's ultimate goal in her creative journey is to inspire the younger generation to start creating and pursuing their passions, regardless of whether they see people who look like them in the room. She believes that there are no walls when creating except for the ones we build in our minds, which are mostly fear. Chrisauna encourages others to take a chance and start creating, no matter how long it takes to finish, as long as you start.
